NO JETLAG EQUALS GOLD
A LEADING sleep expert says Australian athletes could win two extra gold medals as they won’t be suffering from jet lag.
RMIT academic Dr Stephen Jasper predicts the fact Japan and Australia’s east coast are almost in the same time zone could give our athletes much needed advantages.
“Jet lag could be the difference between winning gold and silver at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics when performance is measured in fractions of a second,” he said.
Other countries to benefit would be China and South Korea. But not the US.
