INDIHA’S GREAT SAMOAN ESCAPE
International Rugby Sevens team calls up Gold Coast rugby star to serve
SURFERS Paradise Dolphins tryscoring ace Indiha Saotui-Huta has left the team to pursue an opportunity with the Samoan International Rugby Sevens team.
The Palm Beach Currumbin graduate was selected to represent the island nation in Under-20s rugby union but missed out due to Covid-19.
After 12 months of waiting SaotuiHuta finally received the call he had been waiting for, jetting off for New Zealand for a connecting flight to Apia just in time to escape the latest border lockdown.
He scored 11 tries in 12 appearances for Surfers Paradise to leave an indelible mark on the Gold Coast rugby season.
