ROAR-SOME GLOBAL DAY OF THE TIGER

-

AS JOB titles go, we’re not kitten when we say Patrick Martin-Vegue’s is paws-itively unbeatable.

The Tiger Island manager spends his days at Dreamworld looking after some of the Gold Coast’s most fur-midable celebrities.

They may not be as famous as Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, but Khan, Kiko, Kali and Kai are far more impawtant.

With their Dreamworld mates – Javi, Zakari, Adira, Akasha, Pi, Jaya and Shanti – they are ambassadors for their species worldwide.

To celebrate Global Tiger Day and draw attention to the plight of tigers, Mr Martin-Vegue said Dreamworld would hold a roar-some weekend of activities.

“The tigers here at Dreamworld are ambassadors for their wild counterparts, and those tigers need our help now more than ever,” he said.

“Through every contribution and donation to Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation, we’re able to fund meaningful conservation work, with over $2.5m committed since 2012.”

With an estimated 4000 tigers left in the wild today, Global Tiger Day promotes the importance of tiger conservation and gives the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation an opportunity to get guests involved in its plight.

This weekend, guests can enjoy twice-daily tiger presentations, tiger colouring-in activities, tiger paw cookie decorating for $4 with a portion of proceeds going to the Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation, and more.
