Nothing minor about premiership race
SATURDAY, 7.35PM
Lockdown in Sydney means we can’t enjoy Christmas in July parties, but it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate grand finals in July. Saturday’s clash between the Storm and Penrith has all the hallmarks of a premiership decider. The teams occupy the top two spots, they met in last year’s grand final and they happen to be playing a brand of footy that other teams can’t compete with. The Storm have won 15 straight and will be favoured to beat a weakened Panthers side. But Penrith fans shouldn’t despair; they were the last team to beat Melbourne.
