THE Gold Coast Mayoress Charity Foundation Ball in the Pavilion Ballroom at The Star has been a long time coming. Lockdowns and restrictions meant the date was pushed back but the wait was well and truly worth it. A Covid-capacity crowd starring many of the city’s movers and shakers dug deep to help raise more than $300,000 for various charities. Havafeed, Gold Coast Project for Homeless Youth, Men of Business, Oz Harvest and St John’s Crisis Centre will benefit greatly from the collective generosity of all who attended.
