What she wore: After some discussion, Ruth reluctantly agreed to be our best dressed but if you can’t be the belle at your own ball, when can you? She wore a John Cavill gown with Lorbac shoes, Ferragamo handbag and a pearl necklace purchased for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Style icons: “I really appreciate how tough it must be for Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, in her role. Every time she steps out, every aspect of her outfit is heavily scrutinised but she always gets it right. Similar story for Princess Mary of Denmark. Both are wonderful role models in all aspects of their life. For designers, I love to support our local and Australian brands but I do love Escada and Giorgio Armani. Both are so stylish and classical. If you buy any of their pieces, they are able to be worn for years. For my style, I prefer more fitted clothing and like to wear bold colours.”
