RACE 6 COASTLINE BMW X3 CLASS 3 PLATE (1000M)

One Shy Ruby ($4) looks a good starting point. Stakes placed as a twoyear-old, she lost her way for a while, but looks a stronger, more furnished horse now. Like the way she put them away last time. Just needs to find a spot from a tricky draw. Shamrock Lu ($13) seems over the odds. He was never in the hunt last time, but no horses in the class of the winner this time. Gets nice run and speed suits to run on. Just doesn’t want it too wet. Xerri ($7.50) didn’t finish off at Eagle Farm, but was good winning here prior. Sweet Margot May ($4.80) is way up in grade, while Zingalong ($10) finds it hard to win these days.

SELECTIONS: 2 Shamrock Lu, 8 One Shy Ruby, 3 Xerri

RACE 7 COASTLINE BMW X4

CLASS 6 HCP (1600M)

Profit ($7) has a bad reputation these days, but the last two times he’s dropped back to Class 6 grade he’s won. Good effort in Listed race firstup and doubt anything here would have gone better than that. Since went to the MM Cup and he was never in it. Much better placed here. Slow Hands ($4.80) is flying. Touch stiff at the Gold Coast and bigger stretches here suit. He would be most advantaged if rain puts the track deep into soft range or even heavy. Smart Meteor ($5.50) probably needs it wetter too. Warp Speed ($5.50) was good fresh and won second up last prep off the same platform.

SELECTIONS: 1 Profit, 4 Slow Hands, 3 Smart Meteor, 8 Warp Speed

RACE 8 COASTLINE BMW SUNSHINE COAST CUP (1400M)

Going to the Magic Millions Cup as a suitable formline for this. Oscar Zulu ($9.50) appeals most after enduring wide run and still battling on. Previous win in Sydney was good. Animate ($10) found the line okay in the MM Cup and has a hope, while Hard Empire ($15) was working on the speed and had no option but to puncture. Looks softer here. Scallopini ($16) was good in the Snippets on the same day and won this race two years ago. Favourites Desert Lord ($3.80), The Harrovian ($3.90) and East Asia ($4.80) have hopes, but going for better value.

SELECTIONS: 6 Oscar Zulu, 3 Hard Empire, 8 Animate, 5 Scallopini, 13 East Asia

RACE 9 COASTLINE BMW M4

CLASS 6 HCP (1200M)

Track conditions important here. If it’s soft 6 or better, it just looks the perfect race for Mass Destruction ($2.40). He was bogged down when the track became heavy at the Gold Coast. His previous win at Doomben was good from a wide draw. If the rain comes, keen on Enterprise Keren ($8.50). She was terrific fresh at Doomben and up to 1200m on the bigger track suits. Still a chance on good 4-soft 6, but any wetter and it plays right into her chances. Becomes wide open after that. Fasano ($16) and Fanaar ($14) have hopes and Lasting Kiss ($8.50) is better than the fresh run suggests.

SELECTIONS: 3 Mass Destruction, 7 Enterprise Keren
