What time do you wake up on a Saturday?

4.30am. I wake at this time every morning except Sunday. Sunday I don’t set the alarm and usually sleep in until about 6am. Waking up early also makes me feel great. I love to stretch my day out as long as I can and make the most of it. The morning is also my favourite time of the day!

Local coffee haunt?

I don’t drink coffee but my favourite smoothies are at Pasture & Co in the Currumbin Valley.

Best spot for date night?

The Collective on the Gold Coast Highway at Palm Beach. I love this place for its happy vibe and you can literally pick whatever type of food you are feeling. It has everything and this spot suits everyone from friends’ catch-ups to family dinners.

Favourite takeaway?

Justin Lane pizza on the Gold Coast Highway in Burleigh Heads is my absolute favourite.

Favourite pub/bar to catch up with friends?

Las Palmas at Palm Beach. It is very chilled, there is good music, beautiful food and a view looking over Palm Beach … what more could you ask for!

Best thing about your neighbourhood?

Everyone is friendly, fit, healthy, happy and loves dogs.

Where and when do you exercise?

Being a professional athlete I train about 15 sessions a week at locations such as Burleigh Headland, Surfers Paradise Surf Club, Miami Pool and Tallebudgera Creek.

Best hidden treasure in Queensland?

Pasture & Co. You will find me here a few times a week. I will be either picking up my weekly produce, having hot/ cold baths under the rainforest (at the adjacent bathhouse also at Ground Currumbin) or popping in to have my favourite meal of chilli eggs and a mermaid smoothie, as well as picking up a takeaway cheesecake on the way out! You have not lived if you haven’t been there.

Favourite place to holiday in Queensland?

Hayman Island. I went here recently and I was overwhelmed with the beauty of this divine place. It’s surrounded by endless amounts of water, nature and ocean life. I really felt like I was overseas floating around in Bora Bora. Our state really has it all.

What’s your idea of the perfect Saturday?

Getting up early for a run around Burleigh, then surf for a few hours, brekky at Pasture & Co, a beach day, then finishing up with dinner with friends watching the sun go down and then falling asleep listening to our famous Gold Coast storms.
