RACE 5 – Class 1 Handicap

The Love Rocket ran-on well last start at huge odds and forgive the start prior at Ipswich. Finished in front of Rations who beat home Applicatio­ns last start. Applicatio­ns had to work early after a tardy getaway last time out but stuck-on well for third. Serenade The Cat led all the way to win her maiden at Ipswich and drops in weight. North Rocks powered-away to break his maiden at Ipswich last start and can go on with here.

RACE 6 – Benchmark 58 Handicap (1100m)

Hot In Paris comes to Queensland and brings some luckless southern metropolit­an form which should stack-up well here. Tallahasse­e Lassie has been running well and brings terrific wet track form into this. Zoumanji resumes from a spell and did win her maiden at this track and distance last preparatio­n. I’m Still Standing is another ex-victorian galloper and the recent trial win adds confidence. Watch for any market support.

RACE 7 – Restricted 62 Handicap (1400m)

Elveena fought-on gallantly for third at Gatton after racing wide without cover for the entire trip and contested the Magic Millions Rising Stars the start prior. She’s An Eagle is third-up fit, gets the benefit of a 2kg claim and looks the obvious danger. African Storm sat behind the speed last start and should be able to do likewise from the inside alley. Not Too Hard bolted-in when winning her maiden on a heavy track and similar conditions should suit.

RACE 8 – Restricted 62 Handicap (1400m)

Vantastic has placed at his last two starts, gets the benefit of a 3kg claim and has won on a heavy track before. Will He Foxtrot won his maiden over this trip at Aquis Park last start and has trialled-up nicely. Irish Thunder is in the mix here third-up fit and will appreciate the sting out of the ground.

Hodgson ran-on well at Ipswich last start, had excuses at Eagle Farm the start prior but will need luck from the draw.
