Top ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day
THOSE looking to spoil their significant other this Valentine’s Day should look no further than a sentimental or experience-based gift.
That’s according to Gold Coast single Courtney Blenkin, who described her ideal date as a “nice intimate dinner or walk along the beach”.
It’s estimated that loved-up Aussies will spend more than $1bn in the lead up to February 14 to show how much they care about their partner.
Ms Blenkin said a personalised gift or a sentimental piece of jewellery and roses were a sure-fire way to please.
“You want to make sure
your Valentine’s Day is all about your wife, girlfriend or significant other,” she said.
There are plenty of ways to
show that special someone you care with a packed calendar of events in February.
On Valentine’s Day, Cali
Beach will transform into a romantic night under the stars with an outdoor cinema.
Choose from two screenings – Pretty Woman, at 6pm, or The Notebook at 8.30pm – and indulge in one of two food and beverage packages. Limited pre-bookings can be made via the Cali Beach website.
If partying is more your thing, Bedroom nightclub will help you “shred your ex” on Valentine’s Day eve. Take along a photo of your ex for free entry.
Or if you really want to spoil that special someone, The Roosevelt Lounge will have a three-course set menu for $99 per person, or $130 per person with a glass of Pol Roger.
