Sydney stars ready for takeoff in Apollo

Seven Group 1 winners will contest the Group 2 Apollo Stakes at Randwick, headlined by Melbourne Cup champ Verry Elleegant. The others are Think It Over, Cascadian, Colette, Duais, Hungry Heart and Kolding as 13 of the 14horse field kick off their autumn campaigns. The exception is Special Reward, who has won two of his three starts this prep. Think It Over has been the firming favourite from Verry Elleegant. The six-year-old won Think It Over four of five races last spring, $4.20, Verry picking up a $1m bonus after Elleegant $5 snaring a treble.
