Sinawann up against Group 1 campaigners

Caulfield hosts the first Melbourne Group 1 race of 2022 with the running of the C.F. Orr Stakes. Sinawann is the early favourite in an open race of 12 runners after his eye-catching first-up effort in the Group 2 Australia Stakes at The Valley. In the spring, the five-year-old won the Group 3 Kevin Heffernan Stakes second-up over the 1400m Orr distance. Toorak Hcp and Golden Eagle victor I’m Thunderstruck is one of five Group 1 winners resuming, joining Cascadian, Behemoth, Tofane, Sierra Sue and Inspirational Girl.
