A win gives teams eight points while none are distributed for byes.
With 24 points up for grabs in the final three rounds of regular competition it means the race to make the top four is still wide open.
In the Queensland Premier Cricket first grade competition the Gold Coast Dolphins are in the box-seat going into day two of its Round 17 clash with Valley at Bill Pippen Oval. Max Bryant’s 124 runs helped guide the Dolphins to 8/329 declared while Valley are currently 0/36. Michael Neser has returned from Ashes duties to play for Gold Coast.
