A talented singer, pianist, writer and performer, she has long harboured a desire to get involved in music for TV or film and now it is about to become a reality.

“It is such an amazing thing,” explained Candice. “Michael Abdallah has created a TV show called Project You which is a transformational reality show. The idea is to inspire participants and viewers to create their own personal version of success in whatever form that may take.

“The show will follow people on their emotional journeys as they are guided from a place of deep personal struggle to a healthier physical, mental and spiritual state.

“By chance, he heard some of my songs which are about real-life situations and said they aligned with what the show is about. I had 10 songs done, which he loved, but he wanted two more so I recorded Rise, an old song of mine, and put his lyrics for the theme song Project You to melody.

“To hear them with the orchestrations for the show has been inspiring for me because it really brings to life the messages I am trying to convey.”

The shows are all done and local and international networks are in discussions about buying them.

“Music has always been my calling since I was about five years old and performing at Sunday school. This has been a dream come true and I can’t wait to write more music for Season 2 and then get out and perform them in front of an audience,” she said.
