PIE KINGS MAKE MINCE MEET OF OPPOSITION

YOU’RE never too old to try something new and for Trevor Saville and his eponymous family butcher shops, the new is meat pies.

Saville’s Butchery has been in business since 1913 but this year for the first time they entered the annual piemaking competition with the Australian Bakers Association.

To say it went well is a bit of an understatement.

The innovative creations walked away with three silver and one bronze medal competing against some of the best pie-makers in our wide, brown pieloving land.

Now Trevor and the team have a bunch of trophies to display … and some tasty new products to sell.
