What time do you wake up on a Saturday?

What sort of a rude question is that with three kids?! (Barney, 4, Frank, 2, and Billie, 1). Early bird gets the worm, right. We are up and about by 5am in our household, which to be honest is a good thing, it has to be the best time of the day!

Best place to go with kids?

Jindalee Jungle is a winner along with minibounce (Carindale).

Favourite park?

Rafting Ground Road Reserve, Brookfield. Apart from the playground being a hit with the kids, there is a great walking track that runs down to the creek that the kids love to ride their bikes on while I push Billie in the pram. The boys love playing in the creek.

Local coffee haunt?

The Olive Grove Cafe and Dennis’ Espressivo, both in Kenmore, for takeaways and Wild Canary at Brookfield Gardens, which is my favourite breakfast place.

Best spot for date night?

Unfortunately date nights are few and far between but we always seem to end up at Moga Izakaya in Rosalie, amazing Japanese!

Favourite takeaway?

Grill’d in Rosalie or My Thai, Auchenflower.

Where and when do you exercise?

Bodysmart, Paddington, is my go-to, since reformer pilates has become a big part of my life and the Bodysmart team have become a bit of a second family to me!

Best hidden treasure in Queensland?

The Scenic Rim – I feel like it’s no longer hidden but it honestly has to be one of the prettiest places in our state. Maybe because it’s on the drive back to my hometown of Allora I have a special connection with it but there are so many fabulous little places popping up out there! The Scenic Rim Farm Shop is a great place to stop and grab a coffee and a bite to eat while the kids run free, not to mention the cute little gift shop and flower farm. I am hanging out to visit the new kid on the block, Hazelwood Estate.

Favourite place to holiday in Queensland?

Noosa or North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) are hard to beat. In Noosa we love staying on the river where it’s a little quieter but still walking distance into Hastings St or Gympie Tce.

What’s your idea of the perfect Saturday? Early to rise, our kids hit relax mode when we have them in the car so we head up to the shops and get a takeaway and I feel like it’s really the only time Mark (Gilbride) and I get to finish a conversation. We stay put for the rest of the day at home, out in the yard and enjoying some quality family time with a few drinks on the deck in the afternoon!
