THE QUADDIE

-

RACE 4 – Restricted 60 Handicap (1200m)

Husson’s Revenge won on debut then finished third last start at the Sunshine Coast. Any improvement on that run should see him winning here. Chilliwack is the clear danger as he won his maiden at Aquis Park over this trip last preparation and gets a 3kg claim. Roman Heir broke his maiden last start and is yet to miss a minor prize at this track and distance. Menindee ran well when resuming at Ipswich and should improve on that run.

SELECTIONS: 3 Husson’s Revenge, 1 Chilliwack, 4 Roman Heir, 6 Menindee

RACE 5 – Benchmark 65 Handicap (1200m)

Royal Rebellion failed to fire at Toowoomba last start but her maiden win prior at Doomben should be good enough to win here. Dazzling Flash was caught wide at Doomben before bolting-in to win her maiden at Toowoomba and can go on with it. La Petite Missile also won her maiden at Toowoomba last start and drops 1.5kg here. Rockin’ Artie returns to his home track and will find this easier than his first two runs this preparation.

SELECTIONS: 5 Royal Rebellion, 9 Dazzling Flash, 10 La Petite Missile, 6 Rockin’ Artie

RACE 6 – Restricted 60 Handicap (1200m)

Zoumanji was not beaten far when resuming last start and should be very hard to beat launching from the inside gate. Bizou was also first-up in the same race and can threaten getting back onto a firmer surface, with a 3kg weight swing. Concealed Dynamite resumes from a spell with a recent trial win under her belt and gets a 3kg claim. Countess Tessa is having her first Queensland start and was never a hope first-up last preparation after starting poorly.

SELECTIONS: 1 Zoumanji, 3 Bizou, 6 Concealed Dynamite, 4 Countess Tessa

RACE 7 – Benchmark 65 Handicap (1400m)

Will He Foxtrot was a dominant winner here when resuming last start and is the one to beat again. Confusion ran third in the same race after covering ground and could turn the tables with a 2kg weight swing. Safeeya went close at her last few outings and looks at least a place chance here. Liability won over 1400m here two starts back and should be competitive again. He’s The News is unbeaten at Aquis Park and forgive his last Sunshine Coast run.

SELECTIONS: 10 Will He Foxtrot, 8 Confusion, 9 Safeeya , 4 Liability, 5 He’s The News
