Barrier relief for Blue Diamond favourite

The connections of Blue Diamond favourite Jacquinot were relieved when the colt drew a wide barrier for Victoria’s premier two-year-old race (1200m) at Caulfield. Jacquinot blundered the start in the colts and gelding prelude, but recovered to finish fifth behind Lofty Strike, who is out to deliver trainer Julius Sandhu his first Group 1. Revolutionary Miss won the fillies prelude and is on the third line of betting. Sebonack is next pick after winning the Chairman’s Stakes on debut. Hafey has snuck into the field.
