TV NEWS anchor Amanda Abate is pregnant with her second baby.

The Channel 7 presenter and reporter, who is 17 weeks pregnant, said she was excited and nervous by the thought of soon having two children under the age of two.

She said she had a fairly smooth pregnancy with her first child, Bobby, now 14 months, despite him arriving four weeks early.

“He came the same day as his baby shower,” Ms Abate said. “The first few months are really challenging and doing that again with a toddler is going to be difficult but really special.

“Although, I don’t think you can ever be prepared. “They are all so different. “If they are anything like Bobby, we’re in for it. He’s full of beans.”

She said she was thankful to not be suffering with morning sickness but was feeling a bit nauseous and was fatigued.

Ms Abate said she had no plans for any more children with her husband Brent Beauchamp, but they were open to it down the track.

“We are so grateful and very lucky to have a second one on the way.

“But you never know down the track.”
