‘Loveable, cheeky’ & cool

A GOLD Coast mum says having a baby nine years after her first makes it feel like she’s starting over again, but her boy’s “infectious smile” alone was worth it.

One-year-old Axel Young (right) is a finalist in the Gold Coast Bulletin’s cutest toddler competition.

Mum Ashley described her boy as “loveable and cheeky”.

“Axel is always looking for ways to get into mischief,” Ms Young said.

“Keeps me on my toes for sure. He’s very sweet and his laugh is infectious.”

She said she was adapting to life with a new born again after a nine-year age gap from her first.

“Im coping … just.”

Due to the huge number of nominations, finalists will be announced in five categories – cheekiest, cutest smile, most stylish, brightest eyes and sweetest – in coming weeks.

Voting is open for the cheekiest. The winner will get a professional photo shoot.
