Many people found Dannibelle during their hunt for workout videos during lockdown. She reaches a huge audience through both Youtube and Instagram with regular posts of short and effective workouts. Dannibelle is also a proud Women’s Best athlete – the source of most of her sponsored posts. She averages 4,675 likes per post and a 0.44 per cent engagement rate.

4. Emilee Hembrow – @emileehemb­row Followers: 1.1m Estimated earnings per post: $2,221-$3,702 Engagement rate: 1.18 per cent

Emilee may have made her way on social media courtesy of her sister Tammy, but she has definitely made her own mark. She owns a cosmetics line and treatment parlour in Bundall, Sskinaus, which has a loyal following. She has an estimated average of 20,144 likes per post.

3. Hannah Polites – @hannahpoli­tes Followers: 1.1m Estimated earnings per post: $2,401–$4,002 Engagement rate: 1.16 per cent

Polites, who is a proud mum of three, mostly shares content about her everyday life on the Gold Coast. Followers can keep up to date on renovation­s to her luxury home or admire her maternity shoot photos. With an engagement rate of 1.16 per cent of followers when posting, she receives 13,972 likes per post.

2. Emily Skye – @emilyskyef­it Followers: 2.5m Estimated earnings per post: $5,002-$8,337 Engagement rate: 0.74 per cent

Skye soared to Instagram fame with her popular health and fitness regimens, while also sharing modelling content. She recently started her own cosmetics business, James Cosmetics, based on the Gold Coast, which sells masks, serums and hair products. She has an average of 18,602 likes per post.

1. Tammy Hembrow – @tammyhembr­ow Followers: 14.3m

Estimated earnings per post: $25,837$43,061

Engagement rate: 1.08 per cent

Hembrow, who could be regarded as the Gold Coast’s top influencer, recently had her net worth estimated at $2 million. Hembrow owns her own clothing businesses, Saski Collection, and is believed to earn thousands every time she posts to her audience of 13 million followers.

Bikini and lounge-wear label Temptation Vacation and fashion store Olive and Vern owner Grace Roberts said after a “couple years of hard consistent work we started to see results”.

THE Gold Coast is a training ground for next generation social media earners, but they say it is not as easy to crack it as you may think.

The Bulletin asked our next generation influencer­s how much of their day they spend working on their social media content and profile – and when they think they could quit their day job.

The below amounts were found by using Instagram’s Influencer earnings calculator, which gives an approximat­e amount of how much they each earn per post.

Grace Olivia Roberts – @graceolivi­aroberts Followers: 25.1k Estimated earnings per post: $143$238

Engagement rate: 2.36 per cent

Bikini and lounge-wear label Temptation Vacation and fashion store Olive and Vern owner Grace Roberts said her following has helped her grow over three years.

“I would say I spend most of every day on social media,” she said.

“Running two businesses means you don’t really have time to switch off but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Grace says she classes her personal Instagram as her part-time job and running Temptation Vacation with her partner, Ed Hatcher, as a full-time job.

“After a couple years of hard consistent work we started to see results,” Ms Olivia Roberts said.

“It’s not easy growing fast but we had a vision and we didn’t stop. It takes a lot of consistent effort every day and you need to know what you want. I can finally say I’ve created a life I’ve always dreamt of,” Grace said.

Raychel – @raychel — xx Followers: 22.7k

Estimated earnings per post: $131–$218 Engagement rate: 2.64 per cent

2021 Miss Universe Australia finalist Raychel, 24, shares mostly travel content from bike riding in the mountains to watching sunsets in the snow.

Raychel works full time as a care worker but said she spends roughly two to three hours a day on her social media.

“Juggling both can sometimes be very challengin­g,” she said. “I will make social media my full time job once I have consistent work every week and can quarantine my weekly wage at aged care.’’

She watches Youtube videos on how to help grow her following.

“You definitely have to put a lot of time and effort into your socials if you want to grow and make a living out of it,” Raychel said. “If it is something you are passionate about then definitely give it a go.”

Monique Castrissio­n – @moniquecas­trission Followers: 13.6k Estimated earnings per post: $88-$147 Engagement rate: 2.50 per cent

Monique Castrissio­n uses her platform to break the mould by inspiring people to embrace their natural bodies.

She works full-time at a radiology clinic and owns drinking game, Blind Pickup and nail business, Ave Beauty.

She said she started taking her social media seriously in 2016 and works until 1am to try and get things done.

“I would love to say my week is planned to perfection and I know what to expect but honestly my life is kind of an organised mess,” Monique said.

“Time management is super important to me.

“I find writing a to-do list at the beginning of the week is the most beneficial thing.

“Having an understand­ing partner, family and friends is so important, because working all the time means that I don’t get to see them as much as I would like.”

Codi Provan – @codiprovan Followers: 20.7k Estimated earnings per post: $129-$215 Engagement rate: 3.65 per cent

“Kindness always comes back”: Codi’s bio shares her motto in life.

Her Instagram documents her outings and specifical­ly the snazzy outfits she wears.

Whether she is posing up in a bikini or sweats, her followers love her content with one of the highest engagement rates of 3.65 per cent. Codi also owns Candi Shop

Greek Australia model, Bianca documents her life with her boyfriend Taylor Walters. Her followers engage most with the content which shows her style and lingerie shoots.

Mine Coetser – @minecoetse­r Followers: 20.5k Estimated earnings per post: $124-$207 Engagement rate: 1.69 per cent

Mine Coetser is a model for Chic Brisbane with strong Gold Coast ties. She competed in the 2020 Miss Universe Australia event and loves to share her classy but still beachy vibe on her Instagram account.

Pandora Bonsor – @pandorabon­sorr Followers: 27.5k Estimated earnings per post: $135-$225 Engagement rate: 0.87 per cent

Pandora has the highest following on our next gen list which could be from her positive vibes, gym workout or her transparen­cy with her audience. Some of her Tiktoks have seeped into her Instagram page showing her followers her carefree side.

Elly Candi – @beachpeach­au Followers: 22.7k Estimated earnings per post: $143-$238 Engagement rate: 4.46 per cent

Candi secured her following through sharing hiking adventures with Love Island star and friend Edyn Denise and workout content. She loves to share her fitness journey saying she doesn’t want her followers to take health for granted. “This is me now, not tracking calories, eating heaps, training hard and lifting weights because I love it and not for aesthetics. I’m feeling healthy,” she said.
