KIWI LIFTS ALLIANCE STAKE
NEW Zealand businessman Hugh Jones’ interest in Australian regional carrier Alliance Aviation is growing, with an entity related to him spending $5.3m to increase its stake in the business.
KIOWA Two Thousand Corporate Trustee Company, in which Mr Jones is a director, now owns 11.09 per cent, or just over 17.6 million shares.
Qantas remains Alliance’s top shareholder with a 15.46 per cent stake. No changes in its stake have been reported since Alliance’s 2021 annual report was released in August.
