Free to soak up the sun in Bali

AN ALLEGED Lone Wolf bikie is enjoying freedom in Bali, soaking up the sun in the tourist destination after being cleared of a double murder.

Just weeks after being released from custody, 33-year-old Garry Brush posted a “selfie” from a luxury seat as he jetted off to SouthEast Asia, writing to Instagram “time to clear the head”.

Brush was one of three alleged Lone Wolf bikies charged with the slaying of ex-comanchero gang member Shane Ross and his Monstr Clothing business partner Cameron Martin.

The pair was gunned down in a park at Tallebudgera in October 2019.

In March, Magistrate John Mcinnes cleared Brush and co-accused Nathan Miller and Brodie Singh of murder after finding there was insufficient evidence for the trio to face trial.

Brush opened an Instagram page days on from his murder discharge.

“… thought I better do the selfie sh** so ppl (people) no (sic) it’s not a fake,” he wrote.

In the past fortnight he has posted photos and short clips of his luxury plane trip, a fresh leg tattoo, and a sunset image from W Bali, a luxury hotel in Bali’s coastal region of Seminyak.

Coincidentally, Southport Magistrates Court was told in February that Brush left for a twomonth trip to Bali just days after police knocked on his door to question him about the murders.

Also on his Instagram, he paid tribute to former national president of the Lone Wolf bikie gang and dangerous underworld figure Erkan “Eric the Wolf”’ Keskin who died in Turkey recently. “R. I. P still can’t believe u are gone brother I will miss u dearly may Allah forgive you and accept u forever will u be missed,” he wrote.

Brush’s lawyer Ashkan Tai, of Ashkan Tai Lawyers, was contacted but declined to comment.

Brush’s defence team was the first to try and throw the case out of court, with his barrister Angus Edwards arguing there was “simply no proof” that his client had set out to harm or kill Ross and Martin.

They were successful and murder charges were dropped on March 11.

Brush had been extradited from NSW to the Coast in February 2021 to face the murder charges.

The Bulletin previously revealed Brush was at Mr Ross’s funeral, where he sat among friends of the bikie turned Monstr clothing businessman.

He was also at the funeral of Mr Ross’s mother five weeks before the execution-style death.

The Bulletin on Friday revealed the Director of Public Prosecutions was reviewing the committal ruling, and police were preparing a report for the coroner.

Singh and Miller remain in custody on unrelated matters.
