MESSAGE OF THE DAY: Aaron, you’re right that we should do more to lessen our carbon footprint but my question to you and your Ilk is what are you doing to help? I have no air conditioning, cook with gas, do one load of washing in cold water a week, no clothes dryer, have tank water etc and I’m a believer in transitioning to clean energy not kneejerk let’s stop coal and gas right now and go wind and sun.

I would hope that Pacific leaders are very much aware that China ‘s contribution to global CO2 emissions is far greater than Australia’s! Assuming there is the same amount of government excise on diesel as there is on petrol, why hasn't the price of diesel dropped along with the price of petrol recently? Also, wouldn't diesel be cheaper than petrol as diesel takes less refinement than petrol. What am I missing, apart from dollars? Gramps I thought I was April Fools Day.
