THE QUADDIE

-

RACE 4 – Class 1 Handicap (1800m)

Tee Amici was hampered at the start and worked to find the front when second to Crymenotears over the mile last start. Drawn the inside alley again and should prove difficult to run down.

Shopping Wise hung-on to win his maiden last start at Ipswich despite covering ground. Impel Gazelle won on debut over the mile at Grafton and could well go on with it here. Go Millo is third-up fit, on the quick back-up and can get into the money again.

SELECTIONS: 5 Tee Amici, 3 Shopping Wise, 2 Impel Gazelle, 7 Go Millo

RACE 5 – Benchmark 65 Handicap (900m)

Winneba was unable to fire first-up on the poly track but has plenty of early speed and should be in it for a long way with the 2kg claim. Master Red won over the 900m scamper when resuming last preparation and is the clear danger despite the wide draw. Richetti drops back in distance after a short break and should not be discounted. Chevy Nova got caught wide last start and will get a much cushier trip from the low draw.

SELECTIONS: 8 Winneba, 4 Master Red, 2 Richetti, 1 Chevy Nova

RACE 6 – 0-62 Handicap (1100m)

Za Hidden Dragon was an impressive maiden winner here over 900m last start. This is tougher but has a 3kg claim and looks the likely leader so can take the step-up. Von Saga should get a nice run from the low draw and looks the main danger following a close third last start. Poetic Choice also comes off a narrow defeat and should be competitive. Xuannu draws the inside and can get into the money if she does not run at Kilcoy.

SELECTIONS: 4 Za Hidden Dragon, 7 Von Saga, 2 Poetic Choice, 11 Xuannu

RACE 7 – Benchmark 70 Handicap (1400m)

Dynamic Thinker should be ready to win back on his home turf third-up from a spell and does handle the heavy conditions. Expert Eye is inform and appears to be the main danger coming off a last-start third placing in a mid-week city meeting. Will He Foxtrot won first-up here on the heavy track and it would not surprise to see him bounce back. Rhyme Time is coming off a laststart victory at Ipswich and the wet track certainly suits.

SELECTIONS: 4 Dynamic Thinker, 8 Expert Eye, 9 Will He Foxtrot, 5 Rhyme Time
