What time do you wake up on a Saturday?

Saturday is my favourite day of the week. We get weekends off training so I’ll sleep in until about 7.30am. I don’t like to sleep in too much on my days off as I love to get things done in the morning and make the most out of my day.

Local coffee haunt?

Coffee is a must in our household. I will normally go for a walk down the road with my two roommates and Firebirds teammates Lara Dunkley and Kim Jenner to Blue Poppy Cafe on Asquith St in Morningside.

Favourite restaurant?

Yoko (Japanese Restaurant) has such an awesome vibe. The outside area sits on Howard Smith Wharves, which is right on the Brisbane River. Probably the best banquet I’ve ever had. Their cocktails are also very delicious.

Favourite takeaway?

I am an absolute sucker for Chinese food. Donna Chang in Brisbane is my go-to.

Favourite pub/bar to catch up with friends?

My favourite place to go for drinks with the girls would be Felons on Howard Smith Wharves. Such a chilled place to be able to drink, listen to music and sit down with the girls. It’s also very close to a lot of clubs if you wanted to head out later in the night. Would highly recommend.

Best place to meet people?

Aside from my local coffee shop Blue Poppy, which is 200m down the road, Rabbit & Co at Coorparoo is amazing.

Where and when do you exercise? Being a professional athlete I train at our home stadium at Nissan Arena in

Mt Gravatt where we would train between 15-20 hours a week.

Best hidden treasure in Queensland?

Cedar Creek Falls. A hidden waterfall that is absolutely stunning once you finally find it. Apart from the stunning beaches this place would have to be how I would spend my ideal day off.

Favourite place to holiday in Queensland?

My favourite place to holiday in Queensland would be Noosa. The water is just breathtaking. The scenes, cafes, walks – everything is just incredible.

What’s your idea of the perfect Saturday?

Having a small sleep in but not too late. Go for a walk with the girls for a coffee and breakfast and then head straight up the coast for the day with the girls. Tanning, swimming, fish and chips. Head home late afternoon and finish the day off with a movie and an early night’s sleep.

Firebirds v Thunderbirds, Sunday April 17, 4pm, Nissan Arena, Brisbane and broadcast on Foxtel
