URGENT RECALL OF CANS

-

PRE-MIXED Kahlua espresso martini cocktail cans have been recalled by their manufacturer because of a labelling mistake which could lead to increased intoxication.

The cans are sold in packs of four at Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores across Australia, as well as independent retailers and IGA stores.

On the cardboard wrapping, the alcohol by volume figure is correctly stated to be seven per cent. However, labels on individual cans with dates marked with “Lot code 1277” incorrectly understate the ABV figure to be fourand-a-half per cent.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, the non-compliant labelling means intoxication may be caused, along with subsequent illness or injury if the drinks are consumed.

Cans can be returned to the store of purchase so a full refund can be obtained.
