Scanlon cops Covid

THE Gold Coast’s only Labor MP has tested positive for Covid-19.

Gaven MP and Environment Minister Meaghan Scanlon announced on social media on Friday she had contracted the virus, just days after her partner and Transport Minister Mark Bailey made the same announcement.

“I’ll be isolating at home for 7 days & following Queensland Health advice,” she wrote.

Ms Scanlon is the second Gold Coast MP to catch the disease, with Shadow Environment Minister and Bonney MP Sam O’connor completing his isolation on April 12.
