If ever there was a wardrobe I’d love to raid, it would be Lara Worthington’s. With an eye for innovative brands and a passion for masculine silhouettes, Lara’s fashion collaboration with The Iconic is one to watch.

How would you describe your style? Masculine, with a feminine touch.

What does “style” mean to you?

Relating to fashion, style means to me finding what suits you and what feels good.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

A pearl necklace – it was passed down to me by my grandmother. You can wear (pearls) with everything.

What are your favourite brands?

Some of the brands we wore at this shoot are my favourites: Christopher Esber, EYTYS, Proenza Schouler.

How do you take an outfit from desk to dinner?

Pantsuits I think lend themselves to day or night; Anna Quan has excellent shapes and colours in her latest collection.

What are your daily essentials?

I’m always buying denim, trying to find the perfect pair of jeans.

What is the most surprising thing in, or about, your wardrobe?

I love shopping for vintage, so much so it’s a hobby. I am constantly letting things go, to make room for new pieces.

Top three wardrobe must haves?

The Iconic suggestions: black dress in a statement silhouette – no one does this right now like Christopher Esber; a leather dress stands the test of time – Proenza Schouler has a great cut this season; an oversized blazer, I’m loving Stockholmbased label EYTYS for their relaxed cuts.

Most sentimental item in your wardrobe?

Anything my husband (Sam, above) buys for me.

Summer or winter fashion?

Living in New York, a city with such defined seasons, it keeps me on my toes. It teaches you to layer effectively, honing it down to a valuable skill! If my look has a few layers I can add or subtract according to the weather.

Denim or dresses? Denim.

Heels or sneakers? Both essential.

Is there anything in your wardrobe you’ve regretted throwing out?

Nope – don’t look back!

What’s your secret to a balanced life?

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Drink plenty of water. Take your supplements.
