Sprinter ready to Fire in Victory return

After another setback last spring, star Queensland sprinter Rothfire returns in the Victory Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm. Rothfire looked better than ever in a dominant trial win as trainer Rob Heathcote targets the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap. Vega One is also on the comeback trail after almost dying from an infection last year. Sydney visitor Count De Rupee found some form when second in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes, which came off Group 1 16th and 11th-placed finishes in the Newmarket Handicap and T.J. Smith Stakes.
