Brains behind RUIN-X turn minds to Spanish theme
THE couple who sold one of Australia’s most popular houses this year has revealed plans for their next project.
Emma Sweeny and Matt
Jamieson, the brains behind fully-rendered Gold Coast house RUIN-X, have snapped up a rundown property in nearby Broadbeach Waters.
The pair, who own company Project X, plans to knock down the shack and build a one-of-a-kind Spanish-inspired showstopper.
“It will be a big build – going up two levels and having a rooftop,” Ms Sweeny said.
While the designs are in the planning stages with renowned Gold Coast designer Jayson Pate Design, the couple plan to visit Spain in July to gather inspiration.
Ms Sweeny and Mr Jamieson took their first project, a
Burleigh Waters house named RUIN-X, to auction in March. It sold for $2.71m.
The couple, who paid $775,000 for the house in December 2020, spent five months renovating it.
