Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin

The QAFL enters the second quarter of the 2022 season with the ladder as tight as it’s been in a long time. Here is what every team needs to do to win in Round 6 >>>

BROADBEACH

IT’S A TRAP: It was about this time last year that the Cats got upset at home by the Sharks. This looks a more composed team than the one 12 months ago, but in this competition anything is possible. Broadbeach should win. But Morningside has nothing to lose, and has upset the Cats before ... 2020 grand final anyone?

SHERWOOD HANDS ON THE FOOTY:

Sherw Sherwood is the top tackling team in the competition - why? Because the other team often has the ball. You can’t win games that way. At home this week against a would-be finals contender, this is the Magpies’ chance to change the gameplan. Take the footy - and the game - away from Palm Beach.

PALM BEACH CURR.

DON’T LOOK AHEAD: The Lions’ Lion month after this will make or break their season - but the Magpies come first. Labrador went to Sherwood last year and suffered the upset of the season, which Palm Beach cannot afford to have. This midfield still has another level to reach and can play itself into top form in this one.
