FOUR-TRY HERO OUT T O CEMENT BEARS AS TOP DOG

-

A TOP of the table clash will be the truest test of Burleigh’s premiership credentials, and a four-try hero will be eager to prove her exploits were not a flash in the pan.

Bears centre Felice Quinlan was dominant for her side in their 44-12 QRLW win over Souths Logan last week, crossing the line four times to go with four linebreaks and a try assist.

After a quiet start to her Burleigh career, the 23-year-old has turned up the heat in recent weeks, scoring five tries and making five linebreaks in her past two outings while averaging 113 running metres.

Burleigh will travel to Emerald to take on the Central

Queensland Capras, who sit atop of the ladder courtesy of their unbeaten start to the 2022 season.

However while the Bears will fight to establish themselves as the title heavyweights on the eve of the finals, Tweed will have a different battle on their hands.

The Seagulls need a win against the 7th placed Magpies to avoid the dreaded wooden spoon, with their superior points differential enough to claw themselves off the bottom of the ladder.

Tweed have shown plenty of fight against top four sides Capras and Wynumm-manly, but now they will need to covert that promise into a crucial win.
