RAIN SHOWSTOPPER

ONE of the city’s oldest shows has been postponed because of the wet.

The Mudgeeraba Show said recent rain, and that forecast for winter, meant its grounds were too wet for it to be held on June 25-26.

It is hoped the event will be held later in the year.

City councillor Glenn Tozer said: “The show is not cancelled but the committee are discussing options with insurance companies and key stakeholders to ensure the safety and some certainty for everyone involved. The most suitable future date is yet to be confirmed.”
