Lindy Klim

45, model + Intimo ambassador

- Fashion editor ANNABEL FALCO

Any lady who collects black blazers gets an immediate thumbs up from me … ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the wardrobe of Lindy Klim where Toni Maticevski bridal gowns, Stella Mccartney blazers and wardrobe basics provide a chic base for everyday dressing.

Whether she is swanning around her beautiful Bali home or travelling for work, Lindy relies on comfort and “classics” to cement her fashionista status … which has well and truly been in place since her 2019 Dion Lee fashion show sneaker moment.

What are your favourite brands?

I’m a big supporter of Australian fashion. Brands such as Intimo, Camilla and Marc, Bassike, Dion Lee, Toni Maticevski mixed with some Isabel Marant and Wardrobe NYC.

How many Intimo bras do you own?

I’m so fortunate that I have a wardrobe full! I absolutely love to wear matching sets, that’s the base of any outfit. Their Amour Balconette Bra and Quinn Bralette are my favourite pieces.

What does style mean to you?

Style is important to me in terms of selfexpression. It’s the first thing people notice before you’re able have a conversation.

How would you describe your personal style?

It’s very minimalist. I don’t really do trends as such and I often wear the same “uniform” but update with shoes and bags.

Who are your style icons? Hailey Bieber, Kate Moss circa 1990.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

I have a Stella Mccartney blazer that’s 16 years old that I bought in London.

Have you ever made a style faux pas?

People have said I have, for example wearing trainers to a Dion Lee fashion show or a lace bra through a lace Dolce and Gabbana top at the races (pictured). However, if you look at today’s fashion, I would say I was ahead of the game.

What is the most surprising thing in (or about) your wardrobe?

I have probably around 15 black blazers.

Most sentimental item in your wardrobe?

My wedding dress by Toni Maticevski that I wore when I married Adam (pictured).

Summer or winter fashion?

Living in Bali, especially over the past two years, I am kind of over summer dressing.

Winter for a while sounds wonderful. How important is comfort when it comes to your everyday outfits?

Comfort is key. I can’t stand being uncomfortable for the sake of fashion.

Denim or dresses? Definitely denim.

Heels or sneakers?

Is there anything in your wardrobe you have regretted throwing out?

No … I keep most items.

Favourite fashion era? ’70s for sure.
