The rusty bucket with the hole in it is gone! Now it’s time to line up for the Saturday sauso and fill out my paperwork. David Pocock up for a seat on the GC? Shame... Anyhoo if youse could all give me a steer on who to vote for that would be great. Not s

That Bulldozer slow Moses needs to be red carded for crash tackling tassie young soccer boy and red carded plus his reptile coalition by the Electorate. Nasty swine. Southport Steve

How interesting to see - that if someone with deep pockets - like “Simon says“delusional, Independent Parties - can actually brainwash people with their fake advertising- to the point - that can change people’s voting preferences ? Are people really so stupid in this Country,- or totally robbed of logical thinking ?

A superannuation report just released says you would have earned between 157%-169% over the last 10 years in super. If you purchased a house 10 years ago it went up 84.3%, or up to 145.9% if you bouhgt in an influential suburb. This report puts a hole in Morrison’s house before superannuation bucket.

Really? The lowest jobs rate since 1974. Do the LNP think the nation are complete idiots? We need an Auditor! Labor’s health nightmare of NDIS & Medicare are growing out of control approaching $60 Billion. Half of this for only 480,000 on NDIS and growing every day compared to 25 million supported by Medicare. This is a cost of $2,400 to every Australian or $9,000 to every working Australian - Zorro Returns You can bet humans will find a way to ruin anything good. Democracy is but one example. It has been completely ruined by party politics. Instead of electing the best individuals to work together, yes together, on behalf of the people, we have a bastardised system that is slowly, but surely, killing itself. No wonder disillusioned voters are seeking alternatives.

I heard that Kevin Rudd is sticking his nose into our light rail controversy on the Gold Coast. I’d just like to say go him face to face, “stay out of our business, Krudd! And leave our Karen Andrews alone. You were hopeless as a PM, so butt out!” Burleigh pensioner

Rudd should keep his nose out of politics. He has had his shot and stuffed that up. Go home Rudd. Maggie

Rusty bucket, Rusty politicians. God help us, can it get any tackyer. No doubt.4cr FYI - for all my life, Labor has been concentrated on retaining archaic PAST ideas. Reckon it’s time indeed now, to move on to what better suits us better today, eh? JoB Stop spending Millions on Sports Stadiums etc. (Not everyone like sports). Try spending *Money on housing for all poorer pple WITH kids Living on cars and sleep in friends couches. Gov wasting all our taxes on sport and their own Dinners and Travels. Also cut out your unworthy self indulgences Salary hykes. U all overpaid for nothing. I’m not going to vote for anyone,! Your all not worth hour pay..!!! We potentially have a PM in Albanese who doesn’t know the difference between “are” and “were” when referring to Australia being open. He clearly said “are not open”. Backpedalling later he says he said “were not open”. Can you imagine this bloke representing Australia on the world stage ? Negotiating trade and peace deals with Xi Jinping or Putin? They’d eat him up and spit him out. He can’t string two words together without tripping over his own words. God help us. Darryle Knowles As if giving folk access to $50g of their super to put down a deposit on their own home isn’t THE BEST solution ever!! PERFECT! With low interest rates, & very many families now potentially able to buy instead of living on the streets, bloody BIG good idea!!!!! Anyhow, that’s what I reckon. Ooroo Every time I read about a cultural review in a workplace I recall the ones I have observed over the years. The reviews often took place in workplaces with the most dedicated and efficient staff and turned out to be little more than new Department heads marking out their territory and a waste of time and money. One review prompted a staff member to produce a very humorous series of comic books entitled “The Public Service Clowns” lampooning the clumsy unnecessary activity. A person involved with the council who doesn’t understand the workings of the parks and gardens is a worry. Jack

Dear Councillor Patterson, if you don’t mow grass regularly all you end up with are stalks, so please tell the whingers to consider the choices prior to wasting electric ink.

Just returned from shopping, local supermarket has body deodorant locked away in cupboards but on the special end displays low and behold here is body deodorant on display for all and sundry to help themselves. Figure that out.

Can anyone shed some light on the white house boat beached on Marine Pde at the end of Taylor St. It was beached near the car park off Burrows St now it appears to have taken up residence further along the beach. Concerned resident.

It will be interesting to hear the outcome of Ben Roberts-smith defamation hearing. Who is telling porkies and who is not. Are those giving evidence under oath and if so what action is taken if they are found telling porkies? Good story from Burleigh pensioner (19/5) who said that the Tweed hospital saved his life from a heart attack, and I am happy for him. However the Tweed hospital is busy enough without having to deal with GC patients just because both GC hospitals have a serious bed shortage and ambos banked up for hours. This is typical of this hopeless Labor Gov, why haven’t they built a hospital on the southern GC to cater for the population that Annastacia has created and has a desire for a million residents. No wonder GC’ers are selling up and flocking to the Tweed area, for a relaxed lifestyle, no M1 car parks down here. Rhonda. Dif btween GENIUS & STUPIDITY IS : genius has a LIMIT!!! Einstein. Do U have a limit ??
