AFTER six “spectacular” years Gold Coast radio host Dan Anstey is leaving.

The 90.9 Sea FM breakfast presenter wants to move back to Brisbane with his young family.

“I arrived on the GC in 2016 with a packed lunch and a girlfriend and I’m leaving with a wife, two kids, and personalised plates that forever will remind me of the six spectacular years I’ve had here,” he said.

“The show is the best it’s ever been with Bianca and Ben and I’m forever indebted to Sea FM and the Goldie, but it’s on to the next adventure back home in Brisbane.”

Mr Anstey said he would be the new breakfast anchor for Brisbane radio station Triple M, joining Greg Martin and Margaux Parker.

“For a qualified electrical engineer, Dan makes a pretty fantastic radio host and we have been honoured to have him wake up the Gold Coast on Sea FM for six years,” Sea FM content director Kim Czosnek said.

She said while the station hired a replacement, Bianca and Ben would “hold down the microphones from 5am to 9am weekdays”.
