MAJOR ROAD STAYS SHUT

GOLD Coast-springbrook Rd could stay closed for another two years after a major landslip.

The one-way section of road was closed in early May after a landslip destroyed the area and sparked emergency roadworks.

Transport and Main Roads Queensland on Friday warned Springbrook residents it could be shut for another “18 months to two years”.

“The damage is worse than we expected,” the department wrote on social media.
