BIG STEPS TO REDUCE FOOTPRINT

- ANNE JANELLE DICKMAN

THIS is Alexandra Ryan, a young Gold Coast mum with dreams as bright as her flame-red locks.

She has a goal to make a difference for her young daughter on this planet and so she walks the talk by reducing her ecological footprint in every way possible.

“I am so passionate about animal conservation and living sustainably because this planet is not doing so well, it seems.

“It saddens me so

I do what I can.

“Awareness is everything and I think it is up to each and every one of us to commit to change.

“I hope that our leaders can truly lead the way because it is time for us all to listen, learn and act.

“Carrying out animal rescues probably keeps me the busiest, however, I am active in anything that makes for a brighter future for our wildlife and precious planet.

“I completed my Bachelor in Communications a couple of years back, so perhaps when my beautiful daughter is older, it might allow me to do what I really want to do and that is to help people.

“I just want to have a positive impact on the lives of others.

“I love living here on the

Gold Coast with its beaches and the hinterland is magic … so peaceful.

“Nothing compares to how beautiful it is. All the more reason to protect it.”
