PALAZZO, DYSART, THE UK AND NOW SYDNEY

MANY will remember the affable and hugely popular Russell Durnell when he was the general manager at Palazzo Versace.

He left in 2014 to create his own piece of hospitality with a 50-room motel in the mining town of Dysart.

Then followed stints in Wales and England, including a senior position at the famous The Savoy in London. Now he is back in Australia to take up the role of general manager at the recently opened The Ace Hotel.

With 257 rooms and situated a short walk from Hyde Park the hotel is already getting rave reviews for its luxury decor and attention to detail.
