Landlords & agents too greedy, families can’t afford them. Standard size houses with huge rental prices avail to rent online for more than 6wks. There needs to be honesty about the real rental market and gouging stopped to solve the rental & homeless crisis. L

Jacinta Price should have told Dutton to shove it; it’s taken too long for the Lib Party to elevate her. To her credit she has stepped up. One politician who deserves our support. Flicka

R.beaumont, Labrador - We too have travelled heaps! We always did the “Hop on Hop off” red or blue bus tours! I’m sure we went on each in Barcelona!

So great - think we need 2 here!! Gold Coast & Hinterland!

So Gold Coast MP Karen Andrews is leaving Federal Government. What odds do we have she will stand against Mayor Tom Tate at the next Local Gov elections. Wow a Karen in council. Squizz.

Why doesn’t the government help the residents of Couran Cove. Send portaloos over. Disgraceful

To King Charles, real men don’t eat quiche. Chopper

Keith Woods’ piece on Gold Coast highway gridlock is very telling. One of the problems is that yes there are two lanes north and south but if you follow a bus and every time they stop they block one lane as the can not get off the road. More bad planning and nothing being done. The tram will only make it a nightmare. GN

Perhaps Meaghan Scanlon, could Transfer some of the 9457 staff she was huffing and puffing about in Saturdays Bulletin over too the Spinal Injury Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital to help out Davey Baby Helensvale

Will Karen Andrews run for Mayor? This could be interesting!

Karen Andrews to quit federal politics on the front page news. Strange thing is that it was also printed that it Mcpherson is a safe LNP seat. Well if you look at the thrashing’s they received in the last two by elections SAFE is probably not a wise word to use. Geoffrey.

What’s wrong with this country, a teen steals my mates car, the grub is not charged, $8,000 in damage and the insurance company won’t pay.

As hard as it is dealing with the Burleigh M1 build, it would have been a heap easier if it was dealt with 20 years ago when it should have been widened. Both governments passed the buck, at least the latest gov chose to go ahead, as unpopular as it is when traffic is bad. I’t be worth it when completed.
