Gold Coast coffee king brews up luxury new build

- Viva Hyde

Gold Coast coffee king Tony Williams and wife Lee have listed a stunning riverfront mansion in one of the city’s most dynamic luxury markets.

Turning grounds to grandeur, the couple pivoted from operations at their family-run Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation to oversee the build of River Breeze – a double-storey mansion on prestigious Stanhill Drive, Chevron Island.

The glamorous home at No.113 is marketed by Kollosche agents Rob Lamb with Sam Guo and Julia Kuo, and goes under the hammer on May 24.

In keeping with the owners’ background in hospitality – Mr Williams owned much-loved Base Espresso in Broadbeach for 30 years – the four-bedroom, five-bathroom property was described by the agents as an “entertainer’s paradise”.

The designer kitchen has a porcelain island bench and butler’s pantry, is fitted with high-end appliances, and opens out on to a waterfront terrace with an outdoor kitchen, built-in seating, a firepit lounge, and heated mosaictiled pool.

A rooftop patio offers 360 degree Glitter Strip views and is ideal for large gatherings, while the private pontoon is ready to accommodate aquatic pursuits from your Main River launch pad.

There’s also an upper-level lounge with a bar, while the lavish master bedroom with timber-lined ceiling is serviced by an elegant ensuite and dressing room.

Mr Lamb said the sophisticated home was located just doors down from another prime riverfront estate which sold under the hammer for $15m earlier this month.

That property, at 75-81 Stanhill Drive, was marketed by Michael Kollosche and commanded just under 60m of waterfrontage across a huge 2000 sqm parcel.

“River Breeze is a beautiful new build and is part of the new face of Chevron Island. Where it was once a stagnant island, it is now a thriving hub for new developments and luxurious new builds that adorn the waterfront.”

Property records show the Williams acquired the 567 sqm parcel with a coveted north-towater aspect in 2020, engaging Vanguard Building Design and Carla Rausch Interior Design to bring their vision to life.
