I read these letters once in a blue moon and everything I do, there’s always debate about climate change. With all the publicly available scientific evidence demonstrating it’s happening and it’s a real threat to all of society, why is this still a debate? JM

Just imagine this generation of 18 year olds going to war. Where do you start to compare to the veterans we celebrate today. Some who never ended up having a hot meal after setting foot on foreign soil. Then those who came home were left to their own devices to settle in to normal life again like nothing happened. Shameful neglect and ungrateful respect for those who served our country.

ANZAC reminds me of all those young brave men who couldn’t wait to enlist and go to war for the Country and Freedom while todays lot steal rob assault and disrespect everyone and everything around them then cry for mummy and hide behind her skirt when they get caught.. weak as pee they are.. Doug

Very impressed with the Anzac Day cermonies across the Coast. No ratbags and a lot of tributes. Well done to GC Bulletin too for its coverage of the events.

Lest We Forget. What a great Anzac Day. Glad the weather held up.

Cling to your Anzac Day and all it represents. Woke Waldo

Good to see the Southport Diggers and Brooke Patterson work it all out for two very successful events on Anzac Day. Right move by all on this one.

RSLS and fed govt spend big on events and edifices to commemorate the dead but fall way short on giving suffering veterans the support they desperately need - Curly Bells

BB the Gold Coast City Council is non political. Perhaps the original texter was referring to the sewerage spewing from Albanese when ever he speaks. Ron.s

Albert River fish should taste the same as Mekong bassa. Barney.

Natural gas the living FLAME. Remember that add on TV. Relevant today and for ever. 4cr

So, Megan Scanlon wants to override the Council and destroy open space at the Arundel Hills Golf Club site to somehow breathe life into an out of touch Labor Government. Good luck with that. Martin Oxenford

Scanlon needs to back off on the Arundel Hills call-in. The community does not want this. We made it clear to council. This is all a stunt to look like something is being done to fix the housing crisis.

Miles and Police Minister taking 2 private jets to fly across Queensland, anyone surprised? Labor always selfish, ignorant , disrespectful , disconnected – with no clue on budget, finance and economy. Always wasting taxpayers money like it’s going out of fashion!

Two planes, really? Such a waste of money when people are struggling to make ends meet. Giggles we deserve better.

Listened to an interview with former Vic Premier Jeff Kennett on 3AW recently and what a brilliant speaker. No ‘umms or ahhs’ was fluent and knew his stuff, compelling listening. Likewise NSW Premier Chris Mann’s is very impressive...articulate, eloquent, confident and smart. Then we have ‘giggles’, God help us.

We are in a cost of living crisis we are all doing it tough except every Corporation whose rising costs are paid by us and causing this crisis now these Corporations are recording record profits please explain. Mr MF

Pretty sure they aren’t camping. Probably just trying to find a safe place to park so their kids can still attend school and they can go to work. Leave them alone.

A back of the drink coaster sum....cup of coffee 180ml is $5.50....that means $30.56 per litre!! Makes petrol seem very cheap!! Sheridan Whitehead

Razr, beware of the ‘disinformation’ tribe, they want you to only have access to ‘their truth’.

To Razr 25/04. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Social media has a lot to answer for. Tezza.

To no name 25/04. Re: Bush Turkey problem. Find him a girlfriend !!!

Bush Turkeys totally destroying my garden in Terrigal Crescent Southport. Keen to find a solution too

People with the busg turkey problem... just have to let them do their scratching. These fellas are protected and there is nothing you can do about it.

So ‘Terrence the Turkey’ is working

hard to scrape together a living and build his harem a nest at your place? What can you do? Nothing. Absolutely Nothing! Molly’s Minders.

To get rid of that bush turkey – stand a mirror in the garden – the turkey thinks it’s another turkey and will go away. Worked for us. JS Wongawallan

Anzac day NRL Iinteresting to see the number of players not singing the Aussie anthem on purpose. I hope Australian team selectors take notice when selection time comes to play for Aust. To play means pride in ur country. Broadbeach Oldie.

Holy Titans. The boys were so impressive hanging on. That is a big win in NZ. So proud of them.

Titans, have learned to play at nrl level. Congrads to Des, still a long way

to go through, need a couple of smart buys in the player market. Top 8 side. Happy Member

Titans showed some real guts at the end there with the Warriors throwing everything at them. Were out on their feet yet kept defending.

Titans did us proud against the Warriors. Hopefully this is the turning point for the season.

Warriors had a shocker. They let the Titans have that one at home. Hopefully Des and the boys feel a bit better about themselves.

Richmond Tigers payed a lot of money for Lynch and Tigers are not getting their money’s worth out of him – he gets injured all the time ... I hope he goes back to the Suns that he left for money and Tigers get a more reliable tall forward.. Barry.
