Soaking up the atmosphere

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Looklocal -

A BLOOD red sun from smoke haze combined with no wind and swell to create eerie yet perfect conditions for stand-up paddlers, surfers and surf foilers in Cottesloe on Wednesday evening.

Car bays were at a premium when the Western Suburbs Weekly captured these images of those on the water enjoying their sports at several popular locations south of the Cottesloe Groyne.

The red light cast by the descending sun, The Cove, Isolated, Telephone Box, Dutch Inn and Deep Six surf breaks had surfers using boards suited to each spot.
