Songs to sat­isfy mu­sic lovers

AMER­I­CAN singer Richard Jack­son and Q Sound will team up with lo­cal trum­peter Adam Hall and the Soul Play­boys to launch their first col­lab­o­ra­tive al­bum, Sat­is­fied.

As­tor The­atre is the only Aus­tralian stop on the tour and will fea­ture songs in­clud­ing Ste­vie Won­der’s Su­per­sti­tion, Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On, James Brown’s I Feel Good and Faith by Ge­orge Michael, com­bined with other soul artists and orig­i­nal com­po­si­tions.

Adam Hall and the Soul Play­boys, along with the Vel­vet Play­boys, will com­bine to cre­ate a soul su­per group for the per­for­mance, com­plete with full horn sec­tion and back­ground vo­cals.

The Sat­is­fied al­bum launch con­cert is at As­tor The­atre on Fri­day, June 1. Tick­ets at www.tick­etek.com.au. Land­scape artist John Lacey will be ex­hibit­ing his new oil work at Gal­lows Gallery un­til June 10. ‘Cap­tur­ing Kar­i­jini’ re­flects Lacey’s time spent vis­it­ing the na­tional park to paint en plein air stud­ies and gather pho­to­graphic ref­er­ence for the ex­hi­bi­tion.
