Fash­ion heats up

BURSWOOD will be­come the cen­tre of sum­mer fash­ion with this year’s Fash­ion Coun­cil WA’S Swim and Re­sort Se­ries set to take over the Crown Tow­ers and Optus Sta­dium later this month.

The pro­gram, launched last week at Is­land Mar­ket Trigg, will fea­ture world­class lo­cal swim and re­sort wear, as well as na­tional la­bels for a week­end of iconic run­way events.

The sum­mer se­ries, now in its fifth year, will in­clude Club Trop­i­cana at Crown Tow­ers, while the Sum­mer Crush and Cruise Luxe run­way events will be the first show held on the new Mata­garup Bridge.

Club Trop­i­cana will open the se­ries with a stun­ning twi­light show­case fea- tur­ing Bec + Bridge, where mod­els will strut pool­side in the la­bel’s cur­rent col­lec­tions fea­tur­ing sleek, min­i­mal glam­our.

On Sun­day, the Sum­mer Crush show will bring the fun, vi­brant en­ergy of sum­mer with a se­lec­tion from swimwear and re­sort de­sign­ers, in­clud­ing Am­bra Mad­dalena, Amore + Sorvete, Aqua Blu, House of SKYE, Kir­rikin, Mor­ri­son, Natalie Rolt, Ocean Zone, Oncekissed Swimwear, Seafolly and Sei Bella Aqua Wear.

In the sec­ond show, Cruise Luxe will bring a taste of the Hamp­tons to the Swan River.

The best of cruise re­sort will come to the run­way in a cu­rated pre­sen­ta­tion, with lo­cal and na­tional de­sign­ers join­ing forces for a show­case that will be luxe, fresh and chic.

As the sun sets, the state’s lead­ing mod­els will pa­rade the lat­est col­lec­tion in a su­per­star line-up.
