6 THINGS TO DO AROUND THE REGION
FORMER students of Quilpie State College are cordially invited to it’s centenary celebration dinner, which is just over a week away.
The smart-casual event will feature a buffet meal in the picturesque Bulloo Park for a stellar reunion and party.

AUGATHELLA will be the location for the classiest garden party in the west, when the town’s Isolated Childen’s Parents’ Association branch hosts a High Tea Garden Party.
Fundraising for their group, the morning tea/lunch will have a bar on hand, and boutiques from around the region selling their gorgeous wares.
There will also be a guest speaker, ICPA state councillor, Louise Winten, who is from (somewhat) nearby Angellala Downs.

Pride of the West
IT’S that time of year: Quilpie Diggers Race Club is hosting the annual Pride of the West festival, celebrating everything synonymous with country life.
Two-handed cutting, stock horse sprints and a Station Challenge are all on the cards, as well as a return to part of the original format with a single race day.
A whole host of other quirky events are on the program, and POTW is sure to be the best festival in town. WHEN: Saturday: September 29. WHERE: Bulloo Park, Quilpie.
Who you gonna call?
CARP BUSTERS begins tomorrow in Charleville, and is set to be a huge event for keen anglers.
The three day fishing extravaganza is an affordable family weekend, with entry ranging from $5 to $20 for the whole event.
Get out on the water and explore the hundreds of square kilometers of prime fishing area.

Race and reunion
HISTORIC football club the Charleville All Whites RLFC are hosting a race day to remember as part of the club’s reunion.
With free entry, the race day will be one of the best value days out in town.
Later in the evening, All Whites are putting on a spread with their semi-formal reunion dinner.
Tickets are still available for another week, but get in quick, because they do need to be pre-purchased.
