The best way of transport in early Charleville

Western Times - - NEWS -

THE story of early Charleville is peppered with the inclusion of goats which were used in transport of people and life’s necessities. This young lad shows a beautiful action of four goats-in-hand harnessed to a small cart.

He is seated on a 2x4 gallon petrol container made of pine.

The under-cart would have been cast iron wheels of about 15 inch and 18 inch diameter on a rigid axle.
