1895: 195km ex­ten­sion of the western rail­way to Cun­na­mulla ap­proved by Par­lia­ment. 1898: Western Rail­way Line and Cun­na­mulla Rail­way Sta­tion opened. 1930: Fire de­stroys the sta­tion, and it is re­built. 1954: New air-con­di­tioned train re­places steam-driven West­lander. 2014: Rail bridge at Charleville ir­repara­bly dam­aged by truck ex­plo­sion, stop­ping ser­vices to Cun­na­mulla.
