DULACCA STATE SCHOOL: It has been another successful year at Dulacca State School. Staff have been working tirelessly to support our students and are proud of the individualised education we can offer due to our small school environment.

Our students, each and every day, are setting and striving to achieve academic and personal goals.

Due to this personalised approach to teaching and learning, our students are achieving amazing results.

In Semester One, 98 per cent of our students achieved a C or higher on their report cards, across the range of subjects taught and 100 per cent of our students achieved at and above the National Minimum standard for NAPLAN with the majority of students achieving in the top two bands for writing, spelling, numeracy, grammar and punctuation.

As well as academic achievement, we believe in developing the whole student, including physical health and well-being.

Throughout the year, our students participated in a number of sporting events including swimming, cross-country, athletics and team sports. We were proud to have had a number of students represent our school at District, Region and State competitions.

This success can also be attributed to the dedication of a number of our parents who volunteered time to train students after school.

This year has also seen the introduction of our health and well-being focus, which incorporates mindfulness meditations, and active brain breaks to enhance student learning.

Our students express eagerness to participate in activities and the success of this focus is reflected in the calm and productive tone of the school. 2018 included our Full School Review and we were very pleased with the feedback received which included our positive relationships and high expectations for the success of all students.

Onwards and upwards.
